GENERAL INFORMATION
"Vostochny Port" is the largest stevedoring company, specializing in coal product transshipment. In 2014 the volume of cargo turnover of JSC «Vostochny Port» was 21,84 mln tons which is about 19% of the cargo turnover volume of all coal handling ports in the Russian Federation.
The Port is situated in the South of Primorsky region in the gulf of Nakhodka, Vrangel Bay. Preservation of unique local flora and fauna is one of the top priorities of the Stevedoring Company. The ice free harbor and 22 m fairway depth allow even heavy-tonnage vessels of capsize type with deadweight of 150 thousand tons and over to enter the port.
Railway and road access provides «Vostorchny Port» with the way to the most important main roads of the country. The port is connected with the Trans-Siberian railroad through the port railway station “Nakhodka-Vostochnaya”. The Trans-Siberian railroad together with the Far-Eastern ports create a unique transport bridge between Europe and Asia.
The countries of Asian-Pacific Rim are among the consignees. For the last several years the following countries keep leading positions as the main importers: South Korea, Japan and China.
The first one is the only specialized Coal complex in Primorsky region with a system of conveyor equipment and rail-car discharge station. Rate of automation reaches 98,9%. Handling capacity is 14,2 mln tons per year. The second one is a Universal Handling complex specializing in clamp shell coal transshipment. Its production capacity is 3 mln tons per year.
«Vostochny Port» is on the list of socially responsible organizations of Primorsky region, and collective labor contract of the Company is a specimen among water transport organizations. It was used as a basis for branch tariff agreement. Life of the company employees is full of bright and interesting corporate events.
